OK, I'm not sure if its just me, but sometimes the ink in my pen does not come out of my pen, at least not on the neo notepads, unless I scribble a bit.  I'm not sure if this is that the paper is a bit waxy, the angle I hold the pen or what, it seems to be getting worse though.  Given that there is nothing special about the ink, its the camera and neo pattern on the paper that is responsible for stroke capture, can we get some pencil lead and put in the pen instead of the pen cartridge?  Are these available?  A least with a pencil it should write all the time.

p.s. it is generally when I'm trying to take notes in a talk that the pen decides not to write.

Writing on a pad can be affected by a couple of things but if you are having trouble with the ink it could be because of oil build up on the paper from oils on your hand.  It's rare but it does happen.

Our pen accepts all D1 cartridges so there's a wide choice of alternate inks available.

As to lead - we have looked at this and like the idea but technically it's not as easy as it sounds.    The carbon content in leads make it difficult for the pen to "see" the paper.
