Hi everybody!

I just got this pen as a gift and it was a good surprise. It works well and I'm impressed by its features even if everything isn't perfect.

But now I have a (serious) question: What to do concretely with it? When to use it in my daily life?

I thought about using it as my notebook (for ideas, reminders, todo lists...) but most of it is temporary and doesn't need to be synchronized with my phone, or is already in my phone with a dedicated app.

I work in IT, so I also thought I could use it to take notes in meetings but I write faster (and more readable :)) with a keyboard. Maybe to draw things (mockups, schema...) but there are better tools for that.

So I'd like to know how you guys use this pen in your daily life, because I think it's more than just a "toy" and it can be useful.

Thanks!

As I cannot type faster, or in most situations whereever a computer is not appropriate on a meeting table, I take notes-draw sketches and share it with my team.

Good point.

For me it is useless until they launch (if they will launch) the Windows app. So why buy a $200's pen if all that it made (actually) can be made using a common pen, a common notebook and take a picture of the page you wrote at the end.

Thanks for your quick replies!

I also thought about live broadcasting when taking notes in a meeting, instead of using a paperboard. They should add something like a Chromecast feature.

What would you like to do with the desktop (Windows/Mac OS/Linux) app ? Broadcasting ? New features ?

in truth I will use it to print sheets of paper with the pattern that the N2 recognizes, then use the paper to print documents like schematics, diagrams, workflows and other that I use in my business then use the N2 to take notes in these documents.

otherwise, while ebay and newegg don't send the notebooks from NEOLAB to Brazil, when my notebook full, it will be the big waste of money.

Ah ok! I didn't know about NeoPDF. It looks really interesting and useful. Now I understand why so many people are waiting for it :)

I would love to be able to broadcast my notes during meetings. I think it would help a lot to have something like a windows app or chrome app or something like that for it to enable some sort of screen sharing and to be able to save all the notes at the same time. Taking pictures of drawings works as well but for me this would be the better option.

I am actually a bit disappointed because this was the main reason I bought the pen. I somehow thought it would possible to share my drawings, mockups etc. during a meeting (having my laptop connected to a projector) and be able to save them or email them to the participants right away.

Also it would be great to have a larger paper size to write on. The tiny notebook pages aren't all that great. But maybe thats just me.

Now I know that this pen is cool, but just a waste of money at all.
Today my phone broke the screen and I am not able to access any content inside the phone.
So, even with evernote sync, I basically lost the capability to modify all the pages I wrote before, in all my notebooks.
without a true bidirectional sync in the cloud or using a third part aplication, again, this pen is just a waste of money.

We are sorry to hear that you phone broke.

I think your case is unusual but we do see that it can happen and are looking at various ways to help users backup and restore their notes.

Stay tuned.
