I am jealous of your problem because my pen won't charge at all or record any data. I can't get a response from the support email so I am at a loss as to what to do about how to get it repaired or replaced.

Could you tell us when you had sent us an email? We do get behind on some forum updates from time to time but we do not lose any inquiries sent into our support email box.
Do you mean that your pen would not charge nor connect to the PC? If this is the case, please try resetting the pen by pushing the power button for at least 10 seconds.
